Filey Museum - Room8 - The Photography Room

«back

Filey Museum is fortunate in having an extensive collection of photographs, dating from the late Victorian times to the present day, a selection of which are always on display.  Many of these photographs are the work of Walter Fisher, a local Victorian photographer.  Our volunteers are currently cataloguing and digitising the collection.

Some unusual photographs currently on display depict the early aeroplanes that used to fly from Filey beach, and also the Pierrots, the beach entertainers of the 1930s.  In keeping with the display of photographs a selection of old cameras is also on display.
