This theme of display in this room changes each season, as we try to celebrate something different each time.  Past themes have included Butlins Holiday Camp (very popular), Weddings and Births, John Paul Jones, the WRVS, Lord Nelson and World War II.

On display in this room also are photographs and other items from our “twinned” museum at Fish Hoek, near Cape Town in South Africa.

A large doll’s house, over 70 years old, is the centrepiece of the room.

One cabinet houses a selection of unusual objects, which visitors may attempt to identify – the stewards have the answers, and these may surprise you!
